A-KID//DISPLACE CREW//SUBCULTURE CREW//PEACE IN THE PARK FUNDRAISER

Mic [CHECK!], one two… That’s right, once again Fourth City Music, in association with SUBCULTURE return to West Street Live on Monday 2nd of June to bring you… [CHECK!], an evening focusing on Urban and Electronic Music. [CHECK!]’s aim is to provide a platform for local MC’s, Producers, Singer/Songwriters and DJs that specialize in Urban and Electronic Music. This Month will be a charity show which aims to raise fund for Sheffield’s annual independent music festival

A-KID (<20hz/ROOTS)

For those in the know, a man who needs no introduction…but here it goes. Owner of the Sheffield institution that is the mighty <20hz sound system and head honcho of the pinnacle of Sheffield Bass Music events…’ROOTS‘, A-Kid is the driving force behind the growing Sheffield Bass music scene! We are truly blessed to have him grace the 1’s and 2’s at our humble event! Expect everything from Reggae to Jungle, Dubstep to Drum and Bass…This man’s sets slay every time! SHEFFIELD, Show me some signal!!!

DISPLACE CREW (dedication audio)

From humble origins of midweek Drum and Bass events at the FWD nightclub to sell out shows at the HOPEWORKS venue, combined with their bone shattering DEDICATION AUDIO sound system, the DISPLACE CREW are single-handedly responsible for accelerating the Sheffield Drum and Bass scene. We are once again truly blessed to have them take to the stage at West Street Live. Expect the freshest dark techy rollers, original productions and ridiculous low end straight to your chest to increase your pulse rate!

SUBCULTURE CREW – Sheffield’s Masters of the Mash-Up DJ sets, the SUBCULTURE CREW is comprised of producer (Dripbak) and DJs (Alibi and Hazza D) Specialising in, but not limited to Drum and Bass, the SUBCULTURE DJS take influence from everything Hip-Hop to House and from UK Garage to Techno. SUBCULTURE bring the party in their precision mixing abilities, thunderous bass-lines and tongue-in-cheek MC-ing that will have you fully gassed and reaching for the lasers!

Festivals Ball

On April 11 2014, Sheffield experienced it’s first ever Festivals Ball. The event raised a whopping £1,630 for each festival (Sharrow and Peace in the Park) and was a great success. Thanks to all who came,to those who contributed to raffle prizes, and to the artists and DJs who performed some amazing sets!
